How to Verify DirectLinks

DirectLinks is an advanced feature that allows you to link directly to our site without additional parameters in the URL. So for example, instead of: www.webnode.com/r/519cbf42afe87 you will only see: www.webnode.com. This kind of linking has several advantages:

Visitors don't know that they are clicking on an affiliate link
Many people are not so keen to click on a link they recognize as an affiliate link. If you use affiliate links in your blog or review site, visitors will know that you earn commissions for the promoted products and they are less likely to trust your review and click on the link. If you use DirectLinks, nobody knows you are promoting our products. 

Visitors will not damage or remove your affiliate parameters
There are people who don't like to purchase through affiliate links, even if there is no disadvantage for them. Such people rather copy the URL to their browser and remove the affiliate parameters. You can protect yourself against this by using our affiliate link cloaker. Although, if you use DirectLinks, you don't need to worry about anything.

1. Log in your Affiliate account and click DirectLinks on the left.

2. Click on Add URL.

3. The following window opens for DirectLink. In the URL field, enter the address of your website. Click Save.

Tip: There is no need to insert all of the URLs of your website. It is enough just to add stars to the URL of your website (for example: *.mysite.webnode.com*). This will allow your settings to apply to the following addresses also www.mywebsite.webnode.com, subdomain: mysite.webnode.com, www.mywebsite.webnode.com/algo.html, www.mywebsite.webnode.com/dir/algo.php?parameters, etc.

4. The address of your website will appear as Pending.

5. Once the address is verified, the status changes to Approved.
