Quick Tip: Share Your Documents Effectively

Do you publish leaflets, brochures, catalogs, presentations, office documents or e-journals and e-books on your website? Forget boring and complicatedPDFs, text documents orPowerPointpresentations. Offer your visitors new, attractive way of viewing your documents directly on your website! We will show you how easy and practical it is to use web services for sharing documents.

For sharing documents in various formats there are dozens of external services for free. Some of them allow you to embed documents into a web page. The most widely used are Issuu, Slideshare and Scribd.

The following example shows you how to use Scribd to share documents.

First, sign up in Scribd. After that click on the blue button “Publish” in the upper right corner and upload your document (.pdf file, .doc file, PowerPoint presentation or any other of the supported formats.)

Click on the title of your uploaded document and open it in the new window.

Now you need the embed code. Click in the toolbar at the top on “Embed” button and copy the code.

Then go to your Webnode website editor. Open the page where you want to share your document and insert it as described in our guide on how to add a widget. The file will immediately appear on your site.
