How to Add the New Twitter Widget to Your Webnode Website
June 19th, 2013Twitter has released a new version of its public timeline widget to improve performance and safety. These changes have influenced the way you can insert the widget to your Webnode site. From now on, you cannot insert the widget from Webnode’s CMS editor and the already inserted widget is no longer functional. But don’t despair, follow this tutorial and enjoy the new advantages!
Updates on the Twitter widget for your website
The new Twitter widget offers new and better features. Now it displays any tweeted videos and images and also includes public conversations (if desired). Furthermore, it shows a “Follow” button, as well as an editor where you can make changes to the look of the widget.
Tutorial to insert the new Twitter widget
- Log in to your Twitter account as usual and then click on this link.
- Click “Create new” and in the new window, under the “User timeline” tab, click on “Create Widget” after making sure your username is correct.
Please read each option carefully to configure the widget to your liking. Many new features have appeared.
- Copy the embed code and click on “Save Changes”.
