Insert a Google calendar to your Webnode website

Keep track of interesting events and activities on your website. Create invitations to meetings and workshops or show off bookable appointment slots. Do all of this with Google Calendar, which you can add to your website in three simple steps.

One of the greatest advantages of this solution is its maintenance-free character. Any change made in your calendar will automatically show on the website as well. Your visitors and customers can therefore easily keep track of every important event.

What’s even better, your visitors can choose to receive a notification every time there’s an update in your calendar. You can also change its design to have it match the rest of your website or online store.

Before you start working with the calendar, you need to have a Google account. If you don’t have it yet, register here. Then you can go straight to the section with the calendar: www.google.com/calendar

In the upper left corner you’ll see the „Create“ button. With this button you can add an event to your calendar, as well as the information about its time and venue and additional notes.

When you’re ready, insert the calendar into your website following these three steps:

  1. In the upper right corner you’ll see a gearwheel symbol. Click on it, then go to Settings.
  2. Pick a calendar you’d like to insert in the left menu and choose the „Integrate calendar“ option. Now you can edit your calendar, change its name, and mainly, modify its design.
  3. When you’re happy with your changes, add the calendar to your website. The easiest way is to copy the embed code starting with <iframe…> and paste it in the Webnode website builder in the place of your choice. If you’re not sure how to do it, we prepared an article in our Knowledgebase explaining how to insert an HTML code.

That’s it! You’ve just added a Google calendar to your website.

Google Calendar is not the only option out there if you don’t want to use it. You might also want to try Tockify, Calendly or one of the other safe alternatives.
