Find keyword research tools you can use and follow the checklist we prepared that will guide you!
1. Add a description of the website
Fill in the properties page of your site, add a relevant title and description and use keywords.
2. Highlight titles with correct formatting
Use the format “Title 1” to show Google bots what is important on your site. Don’t hesitate to put some keywords in the body text in bold.
3. Fill your site with the best content
Have content rich with keywords relevant to your industry and attractive to your visitors. Don’t miss mandatory information.
4. Prepare images for search engines
Use your keywords in the title and description of images. Optimized images give you a great advantage.
5. Make a nice menu for your visitors
Try to create a detailed menu that makes sense, considering the keywords you have chosen. An extensive menu is very unpleasant. Create a menu with 2, or at most, 3 levels.
6. All internal links are correct
See if the word to which you connected a link, is a keyword. Use Google Webmaster tools to verify that all links to your site are valid.
7. All outgoing links are valid
Make sure the links are working fine and that they won’t redirect your visitors to a “Page not found”!
8. The home page loads quickly
Nobody likes to wait. A website that loads fast is essential to maintain visitor attention. Avoid an exaggeration of widgets, banners and flash files.
9. Check if all pages on the website are indexed
Make sure that all pages of your site have been crawled by Google. If a page has not been indexed yet, a good solution would be to add some good links to it, so Google bots can find it.
10. Keep your website updated
Make sure your website is current. Perform regular maintenance of your website and keep it updated.
