International Loach Conference 2010
We are pleased to invite you to the INTERNATIONAL LOACH CONFERENCE 2010 to be held from 30. August to 2. September 2010 in Liblice (Czech Republic). This conference intends to bring together scientists working on loach fishes and to provide the possibility to present and discuss new scientific results and to meet colleagues working in the same field.Loaches are small primary freshwater fishes and occur in nearly all water systems across Eurasia and can be considered a major element of the Eurasian freshwater fauna. Loaches are generally slender benthic fishes but have evolved into a vast diversity of shapes and ecological specialisations. This diversity is currently reflected in 6 families and nearly more than…
