Vit Vrba

Founder & Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Vit is our company’s founder. He is responsible for our company’s strategy, finance, and product platform. He has 13 years of experience in Internet industries and in the past led several Internet Research and Development (R&D) projects.

Vit graduated from Mendel University in Brno (Czech Republic) with a Master's degree in Economics and Computer Science. He is currently studying for his Ph.D. in Computer Science. He is a published author, who wote more than 20 scientific articles,  and he avidly participates in (and speaks at) international conferences.

Ondřej Kratěna

Chief Technical Officer (CTO)

Ondřej is the leader of our Development department. He is responsible for the technical aspects of Webnode. Under his leadership, new services and features are planned, developed, implemented, and later analysed. He joined our company in 2004, and since then has provided the technical input to the strategic planning of Webnode.

Ondřej has 10 years of experience developing Internet solutions. He has participated in many R&D projects related to the Internet world. He studied at the Faculty of Informatics, Brno’s Masaryk University (Czech Republic) and is a certified project manager according to IPMA standards.

Lubomír Cvrk

Software Engineer – R&D

Lubomír is responsible for server side components, their object, and data architecture. His professional experience is vast and extensive, exceeding 15 years. Lubomír developed software on various platforms and with multiple programming languages. He also worked with a variety of database management systems.

Lubomír received his Ph.D. in Computer Science at Brno’s University of Technology, Czech Republic. He participated in many scientific research projects and received two “Best Paper Awards” at international scientific conferences. He published over 30 scientific articles at international conferences and technical journals.

Hynek Lípa

Project Manager

Hynek is responsible for website analysis and implementation. One of his activities is to create the skeleton of the website based on how the site will look like (i.e., graphic design). He also leads the custom development of information systems for corporate clients like Renocar.

Hynek is an experienced programmer & analyst with more than 15 years of experience in Desktop Publishing (DTP), in website analysis, and in the development of large information systems.

Miroslav Kocián

Developer & Technical Advisor

Miroslav is a System Programmer. He is responsible, in particular, for Webnode’s GUI development, analysis, and last, but not least, for the system’s core functions. He joined our company in its humble beginning, working on the Webnode’s development from start.

Miroslav has a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Brno´s University of Technology, Faculty of Information Technology (Czech Republic). In the course of his studies he specialized in web based projects.

Miroslav Oujeský

Programmer & Analyst

Miroslav is on Webnode’s Development department. He works on Webnode Statistics, Webnode Translator and some other (mainly statistical) tools for us and our partners. He has over 2 years of active programming experience with PHP and SQL databases.

Miroslav is currently completing a Master’s degree in Information Technologies at Tomas Bata Univerity in Zlín (Czech Republic).

Petr Krátký

Chief Customer Officer (CCO) & Developer

Petr is responsible for our Customer Care department. Under his leadership the department rose and blossomed to its current structure, supporting 9 languages and several more countries. As a developer, he also participates in several Webnode’s projects.

Petr joined our company (part-time) while a student at Masaryk University in Brno. After graduating with a Master’s degree in Computer Science, he continued, fulltime, and began with Webnode’s development. Hence, Petr takes a share in Webnode’s development.

Dieter Allerheiligen

Consultant

Dieter is one of Webnode’s first users and our “Number 1 Fan”. His interest in Webnode is such that he even participated in the translation of the German version. His professional background also reflects this continuous interest in technology since, for example, he created in 1987 one of the first voucherless bank transfer programs worldwide.

As our greatest advocate, Dieter not only has several websites with Webnode, but he also shares his knowledge of our system with other German users at the Webnode Forum and the Support Desk. Check Dieter's website at http://d-aller.net/.

Everton Barbosa

Customer Care Agent

Everton is a Webnode’s user, who in 2009 joined our team of Customer Care. He assists our Brazilian customers and shares his knowledge of the system in social networks and in discussion forums.

Everton is currently studies Graphic Design as well as Marketing in São Paulo, Brazil.

Kateřina Foretová

Customer Care Agent

Kateřina assists our Spanish speaking users as well as the Czech users, in their inquiries regarding Webnode and its functionalities. She recently initiated a one-year program on location, to further embrace the Spanish culture.

In 2011 Kateřina graduated in Logopedics at the Palackého University, in Olomouc (Czech Republic). As part of her academic track, she did portion of her studies in Granada (Spain).

Lena Klusáková

Customer Care Agent

Lena is part of our Customer Care team. She is responsible for assisting our Czech customers, as well as our affiliate partners.

Lena joined our company on November of 2010. She studied Theory of Interactive Studies and Cultural Management. Lena has long-term experience in Customer Care, Public Relations, and event organization.

Magda Klusáková

Customer Care Agent

Magda is responsible for assisting our English speaking customers and for creating tailored web advertisement campaigns.

Magda joined Webnode on the Summer of 2010. She studied Sociology and Media Studies in Brno. She has a Master’s degree in Media and Communication Studies. Magda has long-term experience in Customer Care and Public Relations.

Aleš Straka

Customer Care Agent – 2nd Level

Aleš is responsible for technical support. He assists our users in more complicated (and technical) issues. As a second level agent, he also aids our first level customer care agents in particular queries.

Aleš completed his technical studies in Mechanics and Electronics in Brno and has wide experience in Internet service support.

Markéta Kabátová

Chief Marketing Officer (CMO)

Markéta is the person responsible for our Marketing department. She is the force behind our marketing strategy, advertising campaigns, and online marketing services. Her specialty is Internet Marketing.

Markéta attained a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the Masaryk University (Czech Republic). She spent part of her studies at the University of Gerona in Spain.

Olga Prokopová

Marketing Advisor

Olga takes care of our Czech and Slovak communities and is responsible for our blog, social networks, and discussion forums. She also assists in the structuring of our marketing strategy.

Olga has a Master’s degree in Information Studies. From the beginning of her studies and throughout her academic carrier, she participated in several projects related to social networks and the Internet, gaining valuable experience.

Michele Gouveia

Human Resources and Localization Manager

Michele is responsible for the localization of Webnode worldwide. She manages our Human Resources department and is directly responsible for bringing new talented people to Webnode.

Michele is a Psychologist, who graduated from the University of Oklahoma in Norman, Oklahoma, USA. She has a Post-Graduation in Organizational and Social Psychology from ISCTE in Lisbon, Portugal. She worked with international companies in training projects and has vast experience dealing with multicultural settings.

Cristóbal Gutiérrez

Community Manager – Spanish-speaking countries

Cristóbal helps our Spanish-speaking users and manages Webnode's Spanish blog and online communities. He also works as a translator, focusing his efforts on website content.

Cristóbal attained a degree in Tourism from the University of Jaén (Spain). In a quest for personal and academic growth, he lived abroad and attended the University of Primorska, in Koper (Slovenia), as well as the University of Lethbridge, in Alberta (Canada).

Kateřina Dragonová

Community Manager – French-speaking countries

As a member of our Marketing team Kateřina manages our francophone social networks and participates in the development of Webnode’s French community.

Kateřina got her Bachelor’s degree in French Language and Literature in Brno. Currently she is pursuing a Master’s degree in French Translation at Brno’s Faculty of Arts.

Kateřina Štarhová

Community Manager – Italian-speaking countries

Kateřina is responsible for the communication with our Italian customers and partners. She also manages Webnode’s Italian blog and online communities.

Kateřina has a degree in Business and Economics attained in Brno. In the course of her academic career, attended the University of Trento, as well as, the University of Siena (both located in Italy).

Lucia Bíziková

Community Manager – Portuguese-speaking countries

Lucia manages Webnode’s Portuguese language blogs, online communities, and discussion forums. She also assists our Portuguese-speaking customers.

Lucia has a Bachelor’s degree in Portuguese Language and Literature from Masaryk University (Brno, Czech Republic). She is currently completing a Master’s degree in the same area of studies.

Viktoria Balint

Community Manager – English-speaking and Hungarian-speaking countries

Viktoria manages Webnode’s English and Hungarian blogs and online communities. She is also responsible for assisting our Hungarian-speaking users.

Viktoria has a Master’s degree in English Language and Literature and an English teaching certificate from Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest, Hungary. Her work experience includes teaching, translation and customer service.

Pavel Beran

Marketing Assistant – Technical

Pavel is responsible for developing and implementing technical solutions for our Marketing department.

Pavel has a Master's degree from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering. He is an experienced developer of Internet solutions.

Barbora Břečková

Accountant Manager

Barbora is responsible for our accounting, taxes, and payroll. She has more than 10 years experience in accounting.

Karel Břinek

Network Administrator

Karel manages our network infrastructure, as well as, our corporate clients’. He is responsible for the maintenance our servers, hardware, and software.

Karel graduated from an Information Technology high school and is currently working on a college degree. He is an experienced network administrator, who attained several Cisco certifications for network specialists.
