Domain Transfer only seems to be half working

- 2010-04-15 12:28:44If you have assigned your own domain name to your Webnode project (e.g. "example.com"), you only need to setup DNS records for "www.example.com" and "files.example.com". This setup is sufficient for most of our users.
However, you can also set DNS record type A (not type CNAME) for the root of your domain (i.e. "example.com"). This type of DNS record requires IP address as its value. You need to set the IP address of your Webnode project as a value for DNS A record for your domain ("example.com"). You can find out IP address of your Webnode project on the page http://www.hcidata.info/host2ip.htm - type your project's address (e.g. myproject.webnode.com) into the "Host Name" field.
After you set the above mentioned DNS A record, you don't need to do anything else. Your project will be available also on the address without "www" (e.g. http://example.com/).

- 2009-10-08 11:07:12It cut the end of my message!!
My other question is on the webnode instructions page it says to point ot domain.webnode.com. (is the . at the end supposed to be there and does it make a difference)
Webnodes been great so far for me but I think more comprehensive instructions for tranfers would be great.
Any help will be appreciated

- 2009-10-08 11:01:24I'm registered with 123-Reg.com and I'm trying to tranfer over to webnode. I followed the Webnode instructions using domain.webnode.com and on the domain verification page I get this result: Record for name www: unavailable Record for name files: set Although it's only been 24 hours since I initiated the transfer the fact that files worked and www hasn't is my concern. 123-reg has a settings page for DNS management and a seperate page for Changing nameservers do I need to do both? My other question
